Hello,
On Ancestry, I have two DNA matches with NOETZELsurnames that led me to Bohlschau, Kreis Nuestadt, Westprussia. On Archion, in the Bohlschau church book, I found the marriages of Louise NOETZEL (1857-1938) to Ludwig WOBBROCK (1851-1943) and the marriage of her parents: Martin NOETZEL (1832-1914) to Henriette MAHLKE (1826-1917). Louisa\'s brother, Martin NOETZEL\'s (1869-1939), marriage to Eda MITTELSTADT (1874-1937) took place in Minnesota. After their immigration to the U.S, the parents and the two couples lived in Steele county, Minnesota. In their US census records in Minnesota and their obituaries, Louise and her brother, Martin, indicate that they had two other siblings. Louise NOETZEL WOBBROCK\'s baptism year occurred with the scope of the available church index, but her baptism is not in the index. A line-by-line review of the Bohlschau baptism records from the years beginning with the NOETZEL-MAHLKE marriage until the immigration of the parents in 1874 failed to yield baptism records of the children of Martin NOETZEL and Henriette MAHLKE. A search of the Protestant and Catholic churches near Bohlschau in Archion failed to disclose the missing baptisms.
I feel that my next step should be to find Louise and Martin\'s baptism records. Suggestions welcomed.
My apologies for not using German.
Thank you for letting me tell my story!
